Dr. Eloisa Vargiu is senior researcher and a specialist in public funding at Cetaqua, Water Technology Center. She holds a Ph.D. in Electronic and Computer Engineering from the University of Cagliari. She is currently leading the IDEATION project (InlanD watErs in the digitAl Twin OceaN), a Horizon Europe initiative funded under the Mission Ocean by CINEA. IDEATION aims to develop a roadmap for the future development of digital twins for inland waters to be interoperable with the European Digital Twin Ocean (DTO). She coordinates a consortium of eleven European partners, working on reference architecture, interoperability standards, and stakeholder-driven labs to link inland waters: lakes, rivers and estuaries, wetlands, snow and ice, reservoirs, groundwaters, urban waters, and coastal waters.
