Kilian is a Senior Earth Observation developer, based in Bremen (Germany), focusing on satellite downstream applications to tackle ocean/coastal and climate change challenges. He has 7 years’ experience developing operational satellite monitoring products, such as CoastSat (global shoreline monitoring tool) and EOWater (water resources monitoring), which use publicly available satellite imagery from Copernicus and NASA/USGS to extract valuable information about how our coasts and water resources are changing over time. He currently uses open-source technology stacks and EU-based cloud infrastructure, including EDITO, to develop and deploy interactive webGIS applications that provide satellite-based analytics.
