Arctic Cross-Copernicus forecast products for sea Ice and iceBERGsACCIBERG
The ACCIBERG project focuses on improving forecasts of sea ice and icebergs in the Arctic, extending beyond Greenland waters. It aims to provide more accurate short- to seasonal-range predictions, including reliable uncertainty estimates. By integrating satellite observations and advanced modelling into ocean and sea-ice systems, ACCIBERG will deliver new prototype forecasting tools. These will support Copernicus services with enhanced products for users. The project ultimately seeks to increase maritime safety and help Arctic communities and industries to plan ahead.
