Onboarding App on the EDITO Platform co-facilitated with use case testimonies
- EOTidelines I Tidal Bathymetry from Space
In this session we will go through the steps needed to integrate a new EDITO application using the Datalab cloud infrastructure. The EOTideLines application provides continuous monitoring of the tidal bathymetry in Northern Europe, tracking the movement of sand banks, shoals and channels as they get exposed at low tide and are captured by satellite images (Landsat and Sentinel-2). In a case, we will demonstrate how this app can help identify potential obstacles to navigation and support maritime operations.
- Aquaculture Risk Metrics (AqRM)
Aquaculture Risk Metrics (AqRM ) is a state-of-the-art risk assessment service that redefines preparedness and strategic response suitable for risk assessment by the Aquaculture insurance industry as well as by fish farmers. This is done through a calculated geographical scoring of risks for fish farms for various species, initially focused on salmon farming. This includes sea temperature and salinity rating and risks related to sea lice propagation based on connectivity analysis between sea farms. Oil Spill risk exposure from offshore oil platforms is analysed for nearshore fish cages, Data includes input from weekly reporting of sea lice from all fish farms in Norway, as well as use of ocean current and weather models. This application has recently also been used as a foundation for digital twins for marine protected areas (MPAs). The presentation will focus on the migration of this ILIAD DTO to the EDITO platform for service, process, models and data.
