Dr. Qiang Deng is an Associate Professor at the College of Ocean and Earth Sciences, Xiamen University, and an Associate Research Fellow at the Fujian Ocean Innovation Center. He received his Ph.D. in Applied Mathematics from the University of Wisconsin–Madison. His research focuses mainly on improving atmospheric and oceanic numerical models and applying machine learning algorithms in oceanography. In recent years, he has participated in the design and development of several digital twin ocean systems.
