Scientific Project Manager

Kelli Johnson is Project Manager at Helmholtz-Zentrum Hereon. She holds an MS Ocean & Climate Physics, from the Universität Hamburg (2023) and a BA Mathematics, obtained at the Wake Forest University in 2017 As a scientific project manager with Helmholtz-Zentrum Hereon, she manages the FOCCUS project (Forecasting and Observing the Open-to Coastal Ocean for Copernicus Users), which aims to improve coastal monitoring and forecasting systems in Europe. She is also part of the communications and outreach team on the EDITO Model Lab project, working on the European Digital Twins of the Ocean. After two years working for a data science company in the USA, she recently completed a master in Ocean & Climate Physics at Universität Hamburg, focusing her work on modelling the seasonality of atmospheric CO2 concentrations.
