Carlota Muñiz is a Senior Researcher and Project Manager at the Marine Observation Center (MOC) within the Flanders Marine Institute (VLIZ). The MOC is a vibrant and innovative center dedicated to conducting essential and long-term multidisciplinary observations of the marine environment to enhance the understanding of marine ecosystem dynamics and functioning. Carlota oversees projects that utilize high-throughput sensor observations to improve biodiversity data collection. She serves as the Scientific Coordinator of DTO-BioFlow, a Horizon Europe project aimed at integrating biodiversity monitoring data into the Digital Twin Ocean.
