Kestutis Sadauskas

Kęstutis Sadauskas, a Lithuanian national, is deputy director-general in the Directorate-General (DG) for Maritime Affairs and Fisheries of the European Commission, a post he has held since April 2022. Before this he spent seven years as director for circular economy and green growth at the commission’s DG Environment. From 2010 to 2014 Mr Sadauskas was head of the cabinet of commissioner Algirdas Šemeta responsible for taxation, customs, anti-fraud, audit and statistics. Before this he served as head of the Representation of the European Commission in Vilnius. From 1993 to 2006 Mr Sadauskas worked in the Lithuanian Foreign Service on multilateral issues.
